Used doesn’t have to mean gamble. Every pre-owned machine we sell is inspected, graded, and documented before it hits our floor. You know exactly what you’re getting, exactly what’s been done to it, and exactly where it sits on the condition scale.

Good value, honest grading, and a real local business behind every sale. For buyers who want a working machine without paying full refurbished pricing.
The word "used" gets thrown around loosely in the pinball world. Here's the difference between what it usually means and what it means when you're buying from us.
Most online used listings come with no inspection, no condition grading, and no recourse. Machines are sold in whatever state they're in, with whatever issues the seller didn't bother to fix or disclose. You find out what's actually wrong after you've already paid and the machine is in your basement.
Every used machine we sell goes through the same inspection process as our refurbished stock. The only difference is we don't restore cosmetic wear or replace parts that still work. You get a functioning pinball machine at a better price, with full transparency about what you're buying.
Every used machine gets one of these four grades before it goes on the floor. Grading is based on working condition, playfield wear, cabinet and backglass condition, and originality of parts.
Fully working, clean playfield with minimal wear, original backglass intact, original cabinet artwork in strong shape. Plays like it should and looks nearly as good as the day it left the factory. The nicest used machines on our floor.
Fully working with typical age-related wear. Minor playfield scuffs or planking, normal cabinet scratches, original parts throughout. Plays great, looks honest. Our most common grade and the sweet spot for most buyers.
Working, with visible wear and potential minor issues noted in the condition report. Maybe a flaked backglass, a worn playfield spot, or a replaced plastic. Good for buyers who prioritize function over appearance or who plan to restore cosmetically themselves.
Partially working or has known issues disclosed upfront. Priced accordingly and clearly labeled as a project. For hobbyists and restorers who want to take on the work themselves. Not every used buyer is a project buyer, and that's why we grade separately.
Before a machine gets a grade and hits our sale floor, it clears this checklist. We don't sell anything blind. Anything that fails here goes to refurbishment, repair, or parts, not straight to a buyer.
We get this question all the time. The short answer depends on your budget and how picky you are about cosmetics. Here's the full breakdown.
Used machines are the right answer for more buyers than people realize. Here's what makes this category work so well for the right buyer.
Used machines cost less than refurbished. You're not paying for cosmetic restoration or replaced parts that still had life in them.
Used doesn't mean broken. Every machine we sell in this category plays through a full game reliably. Working condition is the baseline, not the exception.
Collectors often prefer used machines because original parts and artwork hold their own appeal. An honest used A-grade can be more desirable than a heavily restored one.
Used machines get the same white-glove delivery, setup, and post-sale support as refurbished. Lower price doesn't mean lower-tier service.
Some buyers want to restore or upgrade a machine themselves. Buying used gives you a solid working base without paying for restoration work you'd prefer to do yourself.
You know exactly what you're getting. The grade, the condition notes, and the inspection results are all documented. No surprises when the truck pulls up.
The most common questions buyers ask before purchasing a used pinball machine from us.
Used machines are inspected, graded, and sold in working condition with cosmetic wear disclosed. Refurbished machines go through full restoration: electronics work, playfield restoration, replaced worn parts. See our Refurbished Machines page for that process in detail.
The grade is based on four things: working condition, playfield wear, cabinet and backglass condition, and originality. A machine has to hit certain standards in all four to earn an A. Drop in any one category and the grade drops accordingly. Nothing is subjective or inflated.
Absolutely. Every used machine comes with detailed photos of the playfield, backglass, cabinet, and any documented wear. We also send videos of the machine being played through so you can see it working before you commit.
Call us. Used machines come with the same post-sale support as refurbished. We're a local business and we service what we sell. Most small issues can be walked through over the phone. Anything bigger, we'll work with you to sort out.
Yes. Every machine we sell, regardless of grade or price, gets the same delivery experience. Enclosed truck, trained crew, in-home setup, and confirmed working before we leave. See our Delivery Service page for details.
Yes. Trade-ins are welcome and can work toward any machine on our floor, used or refurbished. We'll appraise your current machine for free. Check our Appraisals page for how that works.
Project machines are D-grade: partially working or with known issues. We disclose everything upfront. They're priced lower and targeted at hobbyists who want to work on the machine themselves. Standard used machines at A, B, or C grade are fully functional.
Constantly. Machines come in weekly from private sellers, estate buyouts, and trade-ins. Used is the fastest-moving category we have. If you're looking for a specific title, call us. Chances are we either have it, just had it, or one is coming in soon.
